As Commissioner of Central Goods & Service Tax and Central Excise Gandhinagar Commissionerate, I feel extremely privileged in presenting this official website to the members of the Trade, Industry and general public as well as to the officials of CBIC.
This website has been launched with the objective of providing detailed information of CGST & CE Gandhinagar Commissionerate, covering the addresses of Divisional offices, phone numbers and E-mail addresses of the officers managing the various Divisions, Range Offices & the GST Sewa Kendras.
As a comrade in the taxation force of India, I proudly feel that the day ‘1st of July 2017’ has indeed become a historic landmark for the nation as the Government of India has implemented the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the biggest tax reform introducing the “ONE NATION, ONE TAX” tax system, which has been executed in a standard manner in all the states under the Indian union. I further implore every stakeholder to a belief that GST is not merely for the ease of doing Business, but it is the Way of doing business. Also, GST is not just a tax reform, but it is a landmark step towards economic reforms and revolution in taxation system for ‘Digital India’.
I feel deep pleasure to articulate that the successful roll-out of GST in the year 2017 has been birth to the Central GST & CE, Gandhinagar Commissionerate, which replaced the erstwhile Central Excise Ahmedabad –III Commissionerate. Our jurisdiction extends to Gandhinagar, Himmatnagar, Kadi, Kalol, Mehsana and Palanpur, while having Head Quarter at Custom House, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad.
This website is intended to cater to the queries raised by the Stakeholders on the issues relating to GST law & procedures and I am hopeful that this would aid the Trade and Industry in the “Ease of doing Business”.
I expect all our sincere Officers to make everyone aware of this website. Any suggestion for adding new features to the website is always welcomed.
My best wishes.
